I've read a bit more into this and seen she also lives in a mansion bulit on stolen Native American land and that the natives want to reclaim that land. So yeah her statement comes across very tone deaf.

Eilish borrowed (stole) an indigenous peoples' expression without acknowledging its origins to score political points. At an event with effective consensus on the issue, thus posing minimal risk for her brand.

Floyd was killed in Minnesota, right? That was even earlier and also didn't lead to any fixes.
The 2025 shootings of Minnesota legislators were treated far too lightly. Media and the public moved on too fast without grasping the seriousness of assassination. These are life and death issues, not just differences of opinion the USA is working out. The reactionary right is ready to kill.

There is video circulating on social media of a group of ICE agents beating a man near 26th and Nicollet in south Minneapolis, then one of the ICE agents shoots the man while he's on the ground numerous times. A witness can be heard yelling that the victim is dead.
