Sometimes I feel like we're invisible

My favorite conferences are the online ones. Talks from devs all over the world? I can attend from my house? Sign me up!

It's true, conferences can be great for business, but not always. I've been stuck in back-to-back biz dev meetings that didn't actually go anywhere. Some talks are reaaaally good, but only if you can afford them. It was hard enough to do GDC before all this, and I can't imagine going now

Exactly, I mean you can't make games if you disappear? Their line of thinking is so bizarre to me

I had this!!! I was the biggest X-Files nerd (literally president of the Philippines fan club lol) and playing this, feeling like I was part of the show, was a joy. Thanks for reminding me of this great memory 😍

OMG the author of Tavern Crawler is here! Hi @joshmlabelle.bsky.social we played your game in class 😊 and discussed their different methods of dragon-slaying (or saving). Thanks for a great game 🙏

Worked at some places with proprietary scripting languages and I miss them actually, so it's cool you made your own

Will see how the students react! I'm teaching them Twine too; if Inform is too much for them, they can stick to Twine. I'll just use Inform to make my own game hehe

OMG you're an IF dev! Will buy your game! 🤩 What did you use for yours?

Indeed, it warmed my heart to learn people were still making text adventures. Who knows, maybe these kids (who were born 2004+) will love it? Retro gaming is cool again right? 😁

Don't get me wrong - I love teaching! I love helping students unlock and hone their creativity through games. But I'm still learning how to navigate higher ed in 2025

Cult of the Lamb was one of those "everyone loves it, I'm sure it's great" games for me - yes, this is a sign! 🐑 It is weird and dark and cute, and the strategy loop is so good the deeper you get into it.

Ooh I haven't heard of Thank Goodness You're Here and it looks great! Adding that to my list 😍
