Former special counsel Jack Smith will **publicly** testify about the Trump prosecutions today.

Luckily, it will be livestreamed by @pbs because I’m not sure which US News agency can be relied upon to show it in full.

Hard to believe I’ve ever run in cold before. I wish it was possible to search Nike Run Club data based on weather because if I could verify I’ve run in 30° weather before then I’d feel much more confident. But rn it feels like an Arctic tundra to me outside.

This past week Virginia legislature passed four constitutional amendments:

—protect abortion rights
—repeal the same-sex marriage ban
—allow mid-decade redistricting
—greatly expand voting rights restoration.

These will all go to 2026 referendums.

Using his clemency power, Trump has undone prosecutions made by his own DOJ during his first term.

Experts say the actions show a broad contempt for the justice system: “He’s rejecting ... the work of people he appointed but didn’t fully control.”
