Iran has been dispersing its warships from Bandar Abbas, although many are just outside the harbour.

None of their 3 KILOs submarines appear operational at moment (maybe 1, need to check)

Several warships and midget submarines are stuck in port due to maintenance

Russian gunrunner ASCALON enr Red Sea southbound diverted from main shipping route and is possibly heading for Djibouti.

Russian gunrunners BALTIC LEADER and PATRIA are proceeding North After unloading in Conakry/Guinea, destination likely Kaliningrad.

Vessels like FALCON, KIWALA, BLINT, SUN are testing how far enforcement will go — and how much ambiguity the region will tolerate.

IMO 8607000), apparently operating with the Russian Federal Agency for Fishery (Rosrybolovstvo), has been attacked off Mozambique on Africa's eastern coast on May 8

🔺Tanker activity
Russia releases tanker Green Admire, PM 19 May 2025, and it resumes voyage to Rotterdam.

Likely strayed into PRIP 107/25 & did not respond so interdicted on "safety" grounds.

Poor vessel management may have handed Russian authorities an easy win.

German frigate BRAUNSCHWEIG (F260) is heading for Gulf of Finland at high speed.

Left Hohe Düne, Rostock, Germany yesterday a few hours before tanker incident #2 (this midnight) but after incident #1.

French signals intelligence ship Dupuy de Lôme (A759) entered Baltic Sea via Great Belt today at 0835U.

No AIS. Commenter pointed out a quite pronounced bow wave, indicating high speed. Looks correct from earlier pics.

🇨🇳 Bulk carrier "Yi Peng 3" (MMSI:414270000) was the ship closest to the C-LION1 cable at the time of the failure (2:22 UTC). They are currently leaving the area, with a 🇩🇰 Diana-class patrol vessel (MMSI:220436000) right behind them.

Chinese-flagged cargo ship Yi Peng 3 crossed both submarine cables C-Lion 1 and BSC at times matching when they broke.

She was shadowed by Danish navy for a while during night and is now in Danish Straits leaving Baltics.

No signs of boarding. AIS-caveats apply.
