So glad to see you back here. I’ve missed you. I thought you’d like to ‘share’ the alstromerias my mum bought me last weekend. X
Pink and mauve alstroemerias with long stems in a square glass vase. #OnThisDay 9th December 2010. My sweet little shepherdess in the school nativity play. She really struggled with things like this, which I now know were early signs of RSD (rejection sensitive dysphoria) Look at her anxious little face. It breaks my heart. 💔

#OnThisDay 7th December 2020. Trying on bridesmaid’s dresses for my eldest’s wedding the following summer. Two of the girls weren’t able to be there, and joined in by zoom. 🙂

#OnThisDay 6th December 2023. Salthouse Marshes on the North Norfolk Coast. Acres of reed beds, salt and freshwater pools, Brant geese, teal and mute swans. I was there with Aldo and not another person in sight. Bliss!

#OnThisDay 4th December 2012 We loved this car at the time. It was brilliant in some ways, we could drive it anywhere, it pulled the trailer, carted muddy dogs and feral kids around. But it was noisy, uncomfortable, hot, cold, gas guzzling, heavy. Got an EV now.🤣

Hello #GardensHour. I haven’t taken any photos yet this December. So here’s one of last year’s Christmas wreath made from bits from the garden. Lots of work here all winter when the soil is dry enough. The whole garden is having a revamp. 🙂

#OnThisDay 1st December 2018, Boot room storage made by my talented husband for practically nothing using reclaimed floorboards. It’s still going strong although we have added cupboards with doors so we have somewhere to store all the kids’ cricket bags.
Rustic coat pegs and storage bench made from reclaimed wooden floorboards. The walls are bare plaster and the floor is tiled in a retro Victorian style tile in terracotta, cram and blue.

28th November 2020. Logs all ready for keeping snug for a week or two.

#OnThisDay today! I had not a single photo in my collection which was taken on 27th November, so I just took one of Aldo giving Maggie some lovely kisses. Maggie is less than impressed.

I did a bit of work in the garden today to get away from the news and took these pictures of a spindle bush which was hidden in a load of undergrowth and the masses of berries on the cotoneaster this year. Blue sky and sun too!
