Crochet club is making progress on their coffee cup cozies! A few are finished & many are well underway. While there was some resistance at first to doing a project together instead of everyone doing their own thing, they're proud of having something to show for their efforts. #SchoolLibrary #TLSky

Relieved to find my senior goldendoodle able to get up with assistance and stand & walk by herself when I got home from work today. My plan for the weekend is to stay close to home to keep an eye on her and keep her calm. So hard to watch…

Thankful for coworker friends who bring you coffee at the end of a long week.

Another trip to the emergency vet w/my senior goldendoodle last night. She couldn’t stand when I got home from work but when we got to the vet she was fairly steady on her feet. Got new meds & slept on the couch so she had fewer stairs to climb. Going to be hard to leave her today…

Today’s Silent Book Club book stack, a little after the fact. We had 35 kids from grades 3-5 today across 3 sessions. Didn’t get through all the books, but laughed my way through THE MUSHROOM OF DOOM. #SchoolLibrary #TLSky #EduSky #kidlit

Feeling a little better about leaving my pup today. She’s getting her legs under herself a little more smoothly and is steadier today. Hoping she continues to rest on the couch in the sunlight until I get home.

Yesterday was National Button Day, so for today’s Makerspace Monday we did some button themed projects—stacked button rings and buttons/pins made with our button maker. #SchoolLibrary #TLSky #EduSky

Last full week of school in Dino-vember, so this week's This or That question had to be dinosaur themed, right? I'm curious to see how this one will turn out! #SchoolLibrary #TLSky #EduSky

Sick to my stomach about leaving my super senior goldendoodle to go to work today. I haven’t left her for more than 30 minutes since I got home on Friday. Hopefully she’ll just sleep all day.

In honor of the release of a new Dog Man book, last week's This or That poll in the media center was Dog Man or Captain Underpants. There was a lot of hemming & hawing going on before votes were cast! Eventually Dog Man came out on top. #SchoolLibrary #TLSky #EduSky #kidlit

Crochet club started on their coffee cup cozy projects using their new “fancy” yarn yesterday. They were beyond excited by the yarn & loved all the color choices. Some of our more experienced members made lots of progress! #SchoolLibrary #TLSky #EduSky

My super senior goldendoodle slept through the night & ate breakfast. She's resting comfortably while I'm sniffling from the sinus infection I now have from tears & stress. Just ordered a long runner to make it easier for her to manage the floors. Hopefully it'll be a calm, restful weekend.

My best girl is at the emergency vet now. Not sure what it is but it looks serious. She’s almost 16, but I’m not ready for this.

Thanks to Scholastic and @cbcbooks.bsky.social for sharing a copy of the newest Dog Man book with our school’s readers. We have a long list of readers waiting to get their hands on it!

2nd graders enjoyed today's @bookbreak4schools.bsky.social virtual author visit with Saadia Faruqi. They had so much playing along with the Yasmin book cover game & they were so excited that they checked out pretty much all of the library's Yasmin books after the visit! #kidlit #SchoolLibrary #TLSky

Update on the Dino-vember dino hunt. During Silent Book Club today, 2 3rd graders helped me count the ones we’ve found so far. We’re at 276 of 300 in the jar. Should I take them out and hide them again? #SchoolLibrary #TLSky #EduSky

For a Dino-vember themed Makerspace Monday activity, we made faux amber pieces. Some researched before drawing images, while others dove right in. Super simple project--cardstock circles colored w/colored pencils, shaded around, then glued to flatback glass marbles. #TLSky #SchoolLibrary #EduSky
