The UCP failed Albertans living in continuing care during the worst of the pandemic, and they’re still failing residents today.

Alberta seniors deserve so much better from their government.

This UCP gov’t has done nothing to help Albertans in need of a family doctor.
Albertans are in crisis with over 1 million without a family doctor, and rural communities are feeling it the most.

This government’s two-tier plan will not fix the shortage at all. It will only pull doctors from public care and leave even more people without access.
November 27, 2025 at 3:02 AM
Albertans value a strong public healthcare system and deserve a government that does as well!
Two-tier American-style healthcare is not the solution.

Wait times, understaffing, and access issues won't be fixed by forcing people to pay to see a doctor.

The state of this UCP government speaks for itself. We won’t stop fighting for a better Alberta.
It’s no surprise that over a third of the UCP caucus has recall petitions filed against them. Scandal after scandal has left people exhausted with this government.

No transparency, no accountability from the UCP for their failed efforts to privatize lab testing - costing Albertans at least $125M

Politics has no place in the healthcare decisions of patients and doctors. This is another UCP attack on healthcare providers and women.
UCP calls for a referendum on “late term abortion”

Abortion is health care. It belongs between a patient & their doctor, not on a ballot & not in the UCP’s talking points.

Danielle Smith and the UCP keep using the notwithstanding clause to strip Albertans of their rights.

This is an abuse of power.

Closing the supervised consumption site at the Royal Alex is entirely an ideological decision from the UCP. It does not address the issues and, in fact, I can imagine will only return us to the exact same conditions that required the creation of it in the first place.

The UCP’s push for a two-tier, American-style system is a terrible idea.

It threatens access, won’t cut wait times, and widens inequity. Instead of strengthening public health care, this plan prioritizes who can pay.

Unbridled abuse of power…
The Premier’s job is NOT to trample on Alberta’s constitutionally protected human rights. Now, she makes herself the first Premier in our history to use the notwithstanding clause, not once, but FOUR TIMES in three weeks!

Whose freedoms will be stripped away next? #bill9 #abpoli #ableg

The incompetence and inaction from this UCP government is shameful.
Alberta students deserve real investment in classroom resources, not another panel.

The government’s complexity cabinet committee shows how out of touch the UCP is with the needs of everyday Albertans.

This UCP government has no respect for the Charter or for Albertans.
Once again, Alberta’s UCP Government plans to suspend Charter Rights of Albertans.

First to attack teachers’ rights, now trans youth.

The Justice Minister proudly said his voice is the final voice on this matter.

It is not. The voice of the people is the final voice.

We’re ready to fight for Alberta’s public healthcare system!
Chaos, cuts, and a secret plan for American-style health care: The UCP’s leaked docs show a push for two-tier care where insiders win and Albertans pay. If Danielle Smith thinks people want this, she should call an election.

Albertans have the lowest minimum wage in Canada and have gone the longest without an increase in the general minimum wage out of all Canadian provinces and territories.

The Alberta NDP believes that Albertans deserve a living wage!!
November 18, 2025 at 12:11 AM
Strong public healthcare is a core value for Albertans. We deserve a government that will stand by the public system.
The UCP’s plan to tackle wait times by introducing private pay in our health-care system is a step backward.
✅ It worsens access
✅ It widens inequity
✅ It jeopardizes quality & health outcomes

This has been tried before, & makes wait-times worse.
Opinion: Private-pay medical testing is no solution to wait times
We urge Alberta’s policymakers to resist the false temptation of paying for private access as a “solution” to wait lists.

We all know how much the cost of living has gone up lately, but the minimum wage hasn’t been increased since 2018.

We must demand better from government.
“This should be an easy vote. Saying yes to Bill 201 means standing with workers and improving wages and affordability...” said Nenshi.

“On Monday, the UCP will decide whether this bill passes and whether workers get the fairness they deserve.”

This is a major setback for Albertans..

Utter UCP failure
I spoke with the Edmonton Journal about Canada losing its measles elimination status — the only G7 country to do so.

40% of outbreaks are in Alberta, where the UCP blocked its top doctor from urging vaccines.

Politics should never come before public health.
November 11, 2025 at 1:34 AM
Albertans deserve a government that believes in evidence-based health policy and respects healthcare professionals!
40% of measles outbreaks in Canada were in Alberta.

Premier Danielle Smith catered to anti-vax sentiments & led the charge for Canada to lose measles elimination status.

A big step back for public health.

Albertans deserve government that values science & evidence-based health policies.
Families, seniors, and patients deserve better.

Alberta is facing outbreaks and waitlists while the government fails to provide clear leadership.

Decisions must be based on science and expert advice, not politics.
