Gonna be vulnerable for a moment here: The worst part of struggling with my mental health for decades is all the friendships that fell apart. I miss them all and my heart aches for every friend who now walks a different road, in a different world, lost to me.

All the anti-war and anti-occupation protestors were right. All the far leftists were right. All the “woke scolds” and your friend who’s “too woke” were right. They were somehow even more right than they may have realized at the time. But really, it was always obvious they were right.

The mindless cretin on parade
They may fill our lives with fear
Should we forgive and look away
Well perhaps, but not this year!

Our enemies may come on strong
They may try to break our will
We'll drink a toast to their good health
Just before we spring to kill!

We caught up with one of the kids who sang on 'A Charlie Brown Christmas.' He's 72 now

Amazing letter in today’s @thetimes.com about Tom Stoppard

He honestly did a great job directing his own work in a different medium. It's an engaging and visually rich effort, Roth and Oldman nail the lead performances leading a solid ensemble cast, and the use of Pink Floyd's "Seamus" in an instrumental (but still with dog!) mix as the theme is inspired.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (1990) is on YouTube.

Gary Oldman and Tim Roth star in Tom Stoppard's big screen adaptation of his own stage play, itself a play on Shakespeare's Hamlet.
