My Name Is Kahentiiosta (1995). I can't overstate how brilliant this film is. Radically committed, heartrendingly beautiful, and profoundly distressing all at once. Also a portrait of some of the most badass people ever put to screen. An incredible film that everyone should just take 30m to watch.

A male rock ptarmigan (Lagopus muta) in winter plumage.
Ptarmigan is from Gaelic 'tarmachan' meaning "croaker". The p- was added when people mistakenly assumed it was a Greek word.
