I don’t think people quite understand that the occupation by ICE in the Twin Cities has more or less erased non-white people from public life. They cannot safely exist in any space accessible to the public and moving between private places leaves folks vulnerable to kidnapping by armed masked goons.

Tomorrow I will restart therapy. I parted from my first therapist due to cost/feeling stagnant. I tried again this fall with someone who takes insurance and liked that person, but scheduling didn't work.

We're 90 minutes into 2026 and I've already worried I've screwed up two friendships. Grateful to be slowly learning that usually a little bit of space can help with healing.

Turns out if I ask my husband to watch a movie on New Year's Eve, I should clarify I don't mean When Harry Met Sally because although I love that movie for this time of year because of the ending, he doesn't care for it.
