More than partisanship, our country's deepest divide may be between people who think Thanksgiving dinner should be at dinner time and those who think Thanksgiving dinner should be like.... brunch.

Can we find a balance between "don't comment on other people's bodies" and being able to acknowledge the fact that bodies are not immune to *trends* and trends are entangled with political forces, which may not have our best interests at heart?

Sure, you claim violence in media doesn't incite violence in real life, but they're out here melting witches in the dang street

In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

It's such an exquisite burn to have a Celebrity season of The Traitors when all of the contestants on the regular seasons were also, ostensibly, celebrities.

While everyone has been distracted by the hostile expansion of Christmas season, Black Friday has slowly, insidiously invaded every season. The next doors they bust may be your own.

In high school, we had an annual food bank collection competition and our nun disciplinarian would stand in the lobby every morning and lovingly bully every student who didn't have a can to donate. I was thinking about this and wondering if she's available to go bully congress

Do I think they would win? Probably not, but I think they would make a better showing in this reliably blue city where the progressive wing of the Dems would feel safe to vote 3rd party, than they ever do in national elections (which is the only time you hear from them). That's how you build a base
Here's a reason it's hard to take 3rd parties seriously: Pittsburgh's mayoral election is a disappointment of Republican vs. Republican Lite, where the local Dem party abandoned our more progressive incumbent mayor for a neolib nepobaby. And yet - no 3rd party candidate is running.
