I think that the rise of AI demands that we be *radically conscious* of the difference between interacting w it & interacting w actual humans.

This sounds basic. But as society gets more accustomed to instant answers, constant availability, & unfailing affirmation, I do worry lines will blur.

SCOTUS was never going to come for queer rights via a cert petition asking for an Obergefell repeal—they were always going to come for the LGBTQ community by targeting trans people. and they literally are doing that, this session. protect trans people.

Look!! Even biglaw partners agree!!! ⬇️⬇️
I agree and will also just add that you're generally pretty good at being yourself and pretty bad at being someone else. So it is unlikely you will even win much work by pretending to be someone other than who you are.

I say this often to new attorneys: one of the most important things to remember is that you will NOT be a fit for every client, and that’s okay. We are human beings first, attorneys second - not the other way around. If you prioritize appealing to everyone and lose yourself, you’ve lost.

Me 30+ years later: The structural integrity of these Hot Pockets has suffered since they stopped including the microwave heat-focus sleeve. [Slurps approx. 8000 MG of sodium from CupONoodles]
