Yeah the Claremont method to finish a plot by opening up 10 new threads, 8 of which would be forgotten and/or retconned by artlessly explaining it as mind-control or a psionic illusion sucked, so I'm not romantic about that. But I liked the characters when they were less "locked-down" / typecast.

Funny to see Remy drawn so ominous, since IIRC he was introduced as Storm's shady-friend who's infiltrating the X-Men as a mole, but people liked him too much so he was switched from a heel to a face within a year.

So many little details got lost after Claremont walked in 1991 -- like in this issue where Ororo is speaking Egyptian, because even though her family is from Kenya, she was actually raised in Cairo. A far cry from the animated series where she just gives Shakespearean soliloquies.
