EXACTLY!! A proper film of Wuthering Heights has never been made- it’s actually a very disturbing and violent book which examines toxic, dangerous masculinity. Even the ‘romance’ aspect is more about an unhealthy obsession. (I I speak as someone who loves the book. Emily Brontë was a phenomenon)
