Working in tech but more likely to post about football or music. I wash bibs and pick up cones for Shelbourne FC's women's team. Kevin Godley once described me as a "visionary boffin".
I would love Ireland to qualify for the World Cup for all the usual reasons. But it would also be fantastic to have the whole country festooned in tricolours that haven't been put up by the "Ireland is Full" lot.

It might be my sweaty eyes and the day that's on it but, from a certain angle, Troy Parrott looks a little like a young George Best 😊

Can't say I ever knew much about The Singing Nun but I always assumed a sort of happy clappy, Sound of Music vibe. However, her story is more interesting than that and, ultimately, quite sad really.

PSA: tips to protect yourself from scams on Signal.

Every major comms platform has to contend w phishing, impersonation, & scams. Sadly.

Signal is major, and as we've grown we've heard about more of these attacks--scammy people pretending to be something or someone to trick and abuse others. 1/

A national newspaper journalist went on a British TV channel to claim police stats showed asylum-seekers committed 44% of sex crimes in Dorset.

This shocking claim was treated as fact by the channel which promoted the clip on social media where it was amplified by AI.

Except... it's bollocks.

Ireland is in favour of Europe’s bid to break encryption to allow police pursue serious crime (particularly CSAM), via the proposed ‘Chat Control’ law.

But EU countries are starting to turn against the idea, with Germany calling it “unjustified chat monitoring”.

This is why it’s The Epstein Recess. It won’t be back in session until after the special election in TN on Dec. 2nd, where Johnson hopes he’ll get a vote that counteracts Grijalva’s vote.

Yes, Republicans are willing to let kids go hungry and for the economy to tank to protect wealthy pedophiles.
Speaker Johnson is officially keeping the House in recess again next week. This will be the eighth consecutive week the House has been out of session. The chamber hasn't met since Sept. 19. Adelita Grijalva, who was elected on Sept. 23, has not been sworn in.
