Working in tech but more likely to post about football or music. I wash bibs and pick up cones for Shelbourne FC's women's team. Kevin Godley once described me as a "visionary boffin".
Summer of 1984 (I was 14), I went into O'Connors looking for jeans. I probably wanted Wranglers but could only afford these weird Levi's that had buttons where the zip should be. They were a bargain - only £12. Turns out they were 501s about 6 months before that Nick Kamen ad saw the price treble.

Gene. A veritable fest of middle-aged men (with a sensitive side).

@shelsfc.bsky.social won the Leinster Senior Cup on this day in 2018 for the second year in a row.

On Thursday, we play our first ever game in group stages of a European tournament. Hard to believe it's just 7 years later.

I saw this ship as our ferry came into Dublin Port today. In a week when there has been a lot of talk about flags, I was very impressed by their one.

A company where I had an account on their .eu site prompted me to visit their (new, I presume) Irish site where I had to enter my postal address. So far, so good. However, when I clicked the country field, I was presented with just these options. I'm speechless.

Brilliant goal by Kate Mooney for #Shels to seal the win against Peamount on Saturday.

Well, #Sparks didn't disappoint. They never do.

If they play a second night in Dublin tomorrow. I think there are still tickets available and, if you're even half-thinking of it, I'd say go and see them.

In 30+ years of using the web, I don't think I've ever come across a country dropdown that want sorted alphabetically before. Took me a while to find "Ireland".

This is in Settings -> Network in the phone app. Do you have the local network bit configured and enabled? If you can get in via web, then that's probably using the local URL that you need to enter here.

One for the nerdy #Shels supporters.

In all this debate about Mícheál Martin's meeting with Trump, no one seems to have copped that Trump might be after Ireland's minerals. Should we just let him have them?

When I got fed up watching Trump's inauguration last night, I started watching a documentary about Berlin in 1933. It included this clip. I'm not sure what he's up to here. Awkward gesture? The Nazis in the crowd seem to recognise it, anyway.

What should we assume this man isn't doing then?

I got a Mickey Mouse one in 1977 when I was 7. I remember hearing the news that Charlie Chaplin had died on it. That night I listened to it in bed, reading a Beano annual. To this day, I absolutely love reading in bed with the radio on in the background.

It looked like this...

Ralph is a big #TwoTone fan. He thinks he looks pretty cool in his hat and I don't have the heart to tell him he actually looks more like Mickey Pearce from Only Fools and Horses.
