A really neat thing about the internet is that regular, every day people can come onto websites like this one and decide to say something kind, uplifting or encouraging and turn a complete stranger's day totally around. I think that's an important thing to hold fast and remember.

A college child hit on me tonight, and instead of politely brushing him off, I felt the need to ask him if how he was behaving ever actually worked on women. He said yes, frequently. I told him that made me deeply sad, and I hope that those women, if they exist in reality, raise their standards.

Body dysmorphia is so weird because what do you mean the shots I just got back from the artist I muse for are me? She's beautiful though? No way! 🙃

Y'all, I am pretty sure a dear friend of mine's wife has munchausen by proxy. She has always been a bit histrionic with regard to herself, but now suddenly her children, who behave and appear as healthy, baseline children (3 and 8) allegedly have a ton of maladies and diseases.

I've been dealing with a painful, cystic right ovary and unable to move around much. I got to wander off of my porch for the first time yesterday and found this little hole with a little mushroom laid in it. I don't know what did it, but it made me smile.

It is lovely that I'm getting to know my late, estranged father's family, but it is wearing on me a bit that they all feel the need to constantly bring him up even if it is to apologize for his behavior. I'm grateful for their presence and to meet blood relatives, but also, I'm tired.
