I find it *incomprehensible* that people can claim they are "fighting for the rights of women and girls" and not apparently acknowledge that - at the very least - many many reasonable women and girls *disagree with them about this*.

But he would rather condemn me than fight for the rights of women and girls I expected more from Ardal. I never thought he would intone the catechism. "I still get on great with everyone," he said in a recent interview with The Times, "though I haven't seen much of the show's creator, Graham Linehan, and am baffled as to why he got involved in the culture wars. I feel sorry for him - he's entitled to his opinions, but the way he presented them made it confrontational. When I read that, I phoned him immediately. When people betray me, I always make the mistake of phoning them straight away. My heart was thumping in my chest as I found his number and gave him a faux-polite, "Hey Ardal, how's it going?". My anger was already boiling. I knew exactly what he would say - the exact same things Bill Bailey said when I phoned him, the exact same things Amelia Bullmore said when I wrote to her. I knew, and I phoned anyway, because I can't help myself. And when he started reading from the same script as all the others, I lost my temper. At some point, Ardal said, "I just disagree with you." I would have said all this to him on the phone, but I was so angry I could not get any of it out. In fact, at one point I said, "You're on my f--ing s--t list." Ridiculous, of course, but unfortunately true. Like Father Ted at the Golden Cleric Awards, I keep a tally of every person who took the easy path and watched me twist in the wind. I can't help it. I remember them all. Tim Heidecker saying I'd gone down a "rabbit hole". David O'Doherty, who didn't have the guts to speak to me. My own brother-in-law publicly calling me insane. Adam Buxton, Jon Ronson, Richard Herring, Stewart Lee. People who knew me, people who had my phone number, people who could have asked, people who assumed the worst because doing otherwise would have exposed them to the same treatment I was receiving. In condemning me, to use Douglas Murray's line, they raise a little flag outside their home so the mob will pass them by. And every time one of them hands a journalist another little quote - another "baffled," another "sorry," another "he's awful, but I hope he's okay" - they get to carry on with their lives while mine gets smaller. Being able to recognise I am autistic and non-binary helped me make sense of who I am. It allows me to recognise why my brain works the way it does, why I feel the way I do. Not being able to do that left scars, mental and physical. It's a good thing being able to have a frame for your life. 1/

THE PEGGIE JUDGMENT IS OUT + THE RESULT IS NOT HOW MEDIA IS PRESENTING IT

This case doesn’t say employers can’t allow trans women to use women’s changing rooms.

Quite the opposite: FWS doesn’t make that inherently unlawful. It all depends on context.

A powerful video from Norway displays gender based inequality. The look of dismay & confusion on the girls' faces upon receiving less for the same task was a little painful.

They agreed it was unfair.

In S17 of #Taskmaster, Nick Mohammed dressed as a vampire for his tasks. The production scrubbed all his reflections when he's dressed like this, but the only way I knew is because someone told me about it. It's subtle and very cool.

It's revealing about taboos around racism that the visceral bullying racism of schoolboy Farage cuts through while the much more consequential thinly veiled racism of adult Farage doesn't. Many people need that veil and flinch when it's removed. You can advocate racist policies but not say the words

Carolyn Mercer says she has always felt female despite being born male and, at the age of 78, having lived most of her life as a man. At the age of of 17, Carolyn confided to a local priest that she felt female rather than male and was sent to Blackburn Hospital for electric shock treatment. "My hand shot up in the air, pain racked through my body, tears rolled down my face," she said. "That treatment wasn't any sort of therapy. It was cruel, barbaric punishments – torture, not therapy."
