Revising an old long poem, a collection of fictionalised memories. Shouldn't be, but I am. Shd be working on my novel or my workshop pieces. The poem is improving heaps after a 5yr sleep in the dark & some rewrites tho. You see the probs more easily. Maybe I'll submit somewhere? #poetry #editing

If the UK government agrees to a wholesale undoing of copyright, to excuse Meta's massive theft of books, art, movies etc as 'data', then the creative industries and all of us working in them are finished. All viewers and readers will get in future is unoriginal, derivative slop. #MetaBookThieves

META has used pirated versions of my books and those of pretty much every author I know to train its artificial intelligence software. We need the government to step in and ensure that META will #DoTheWriteThing

Wee update from me. A few more followers - hello, ty for the follows! 👋. I'm immersed in research for my work in progress (fiction), doing a remote cooperative long-form writing course, mentoring someone & ofc still being a carer to my disabled son. I should be a juggler. 🤹

Writing isn't the same since it was as highly commercialised as it is today. What do you think? I think it has suffered in many ways. I also see this in music and art. Kudos to those creating away from fame & fortune, not even thinking about sales or success.
