To those who say that I’m out of touch with the views of my district I say this: I ran for this seat to represent those who don’t get a voice. Who don’t have traditional access to power. You probably won’t hear their voices at a neighborhood association, but they still exist and I am their councilor

I learned how to identify drug paraphernalia when I was in second grade at, now-defunct, Edward’s Elementary next to Sewallcrest Park.
It was not traumatizing. I felt informed and able to respond in a safe way.

Please email Portland City Councilors directly to vote in favor of Morillo’s amendment. Testimony is great, but that direct outreach is really important right now.
Very excited to see @councilormorillo.bsky.social introduce an amendment to the fall budget adjustment to shift funding from sweeps to other critical city functions! That is half of one of our demands in our Finding Home petition linked in my bio.
