A favorite trick of Trump, Miller, Noem, et al. is to revoke whatever form of protected status they might have had thanks to previous executive orders or agency action and *poof* -- thousands upon thousands of refugees, asylees, parolees, TPS or DACA beneficiaries, etc. who were here legally...

Hmm...bit of a problem with Hegseth's latest excuse.

The original WaPo report said survivors were visible on the live video feed within "minutes" of the first strike, not 1-2 hours later as Hegseth claims (i.e., conveniently after he "left the room").

Dimwit Hegseth just opened the door to demands to see the video. Because this is what WaPo reported:

...which is where I encountered them.

My generation learned a *ton* of classical music from those cartoons. Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner, Rossini, Strauss, Liszt, Chopin...it's quite a catalogue.

They were The Simpsons 40-50 years before The Simpsons were The Simpsons -- grown-ups using animation to create absurdist comedy and irreverent/iconoclastic social and cultural satire for other grown-ups. It wasn't until decades later that they were repurposed as Saturday morning kids' fare...

That's because the WB Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons were made for adults! They were created as theatrical shorts that ran before movies in theaters from the 1930s into the 1960s.

Even before we get to the general election, I bet Rubio uses this clip in his ads during the GOP primary.

He is *shook*. Running away from that second strike like a scalded cur.

(Someone should probably tell him the first strike was also a crime.)

Amid all the ick and ethical bankruptcy, I just can't get past what an excruciatingly bad writer she is. Maybe there was a time in the past when she was a good writer, but every excerpt of this book I've read so far is like nails on a chalkboard.

160 posts between 7:00 PM and midnight. That's an average of one post every one minute and 52 seconds for *five straight hours*.

His derangement spiral is accelerating and will soon be beyond the ability of anyone to control.

It's truly mind-boggling that allegedly respectable outlets like The Washington Post and CNN ever employed this clown.

Pretty incredible how fast Nixon went from a *massive* landslide re-election win to -36 in the Gallup approval poll.

A more nuanced way of looking at this is that if it looks like the blast radius of the Hegseth scandal could endanger Trump, they'll circle the wagons around Trump and cut Hegseth loose in a heartbeat.
