“To date, the death toll from COVID is approximately 1.2 million Americans, the most deaths of any country, across two administrations. The fact that this was essentially allowed to happen, and that Americans were at greater risk than we could have imagined, is an eye-opener.”

When those around you and the news try to make the #surreal actions normal. #hypernormalisation
This- gestures broadly around- to the pandemic, rocketing fascism, "roman"salutes, media control, etc ad infinitum- is not normal. It's ok to not be ok faking normalcy

Spent a week working on my temp blanket. Realized I had used the low temp for the day minutes and the high temp for night minutes...

Partner started a new job today. Its hybrid, first time back in an office in 5 years, grateful for the job & n95 masks. It's truly cold. I so hope people have found shelter tonight.
We ate dinner, have shelter, even gf vegan sugar cookie bars. With everything going on I really feel these blessings.

It's raining but doggo still needed a walk. Exhausted from yesterday's potato induced very low bp. So, leftovers & vegan sushi for dinner. Hot tea to ward off the cold. New glasses for Little. Younger two and I watching a perfectly terrible fall hallmark movie. Blankets. Blessed.

It's cloudy.
I thought it was stratus nebulosus from my window but it seems rain is forecast, so they are probably nimbostratus.
