Since apparently the SOS in Louisiana hasn't bothered with Blue Sky yet (or my google fu is failing me...) I felt it important to share this.
The image is pretty self explanatory but Louisiana is moving towards partisan elections and primaries and there are changes to the independent designation.

I love that we're just far enough South where the city shuts down when it snows but far enough North to actually get snow a few times a year. This was taken last night and this morning. Just a couple inches, but still fun for us.

I made this earlier to answer this for myself. I got it from the advocate but I didn't like how they had it organized. In 2021 there was an ice storm that froze everything from Houston to New Orleans and more I'm sure. I didn't lose power but my parents did and refused to come stay with me 😂

Not quite. First of all, shreveport snows nearly every other year. But even in South Louisiana ... we get snow on a regular basis. I put this together because I wanted to see the two cities compared.

Y'all ... Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I just can't. The last measurement I got sent was knocking on 4" and its not even peak fall rate there yet.
I thought leaving BTR for Nashville meant my friends would be jealous of the snow I'd get this year not the other way around :o

Be that as it may ... i think you'd be surprised to know just how far north the subtropical climate goes. Subtropical doesn't mean no snow lol

1st Christmas away from Louisiana and I'm Tennessee. Considering we were only 2 of us, I'm pretty okay w/ how it turned out. Had to modify spinach Madeline since he hates spinach and no oyster dressing for the same reason but overall, I'm pretty happy.

You can pretty much make louisiana statewide every year. There's no way the politicians in Baton Rouge will ever miss a chance to put unpopular amendments on the ballot. There are *some* years where there aren't any but very few....

I just found Michael Damian's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat soundtrack on YT and I haven't been so happy in so long. Somehow my brain remembered it as Tommy Tutone playing Joseph which explains why I could never find it before & don't come at me with Donny Osmond nonsense 😂
