I like them because they're older - one from the 50s and one from the 70s.
I have *SO* many Louisiana culture/history/language books I need to read. Guess I'm about to have one more ;)
Since apparently the SOS in Louisiana hasn't bothered with Blue Sky yet (or my google fu is failing me...) I felt it important to share this.

The image is pretty self explanatory but Louisiana is moving towards partisan elections and primaries and there are changes to the independent designation.
I love that we're just far enough South where the city shuts down when it snows but far enough North to actually get snow a few times a year. This was taken last night and this morning. Just a couple inches, but still fun for us.
Louisiana Republicans once again showing their thin skin. Good for Davante. We need more of this. Besides, he's still on the commission. People are apparently this is FAFO but it really isn't. I seriously doubt this changes his approach at all.

The EVIC/Reed college election official survey is out! I hate that they call us LEOs because its confusing but I digress...

The fact that I'm seeing pockets of snow still on the ground from the 10th or whenever it snowed here in Nashville still is mind boggling to me ....
It could be worse - I did the same thing and I don't even live in South Louisiana anymore 😂
I like having boxes they just don't need to be the size they are. I bought thin slim boxes for this online & for my dvds that I never watch 😆 and moved them all over. I also like that they're easier to organize after the move too.
Obama / Trump 2028? He does realize this is gonna backfire at some point ... right?
The dirty street snow is the worst.
Someone made a huge ball of snow up here when we snowed a few weeks ago. I saw it driving down the road today. Either that or there was a giant marble boulder on the side of the road 😂This was leftover from January 10th. o_0
I'm quite aware I'm not either. However, I seem to be the only one that has been able to survive this past week in my office without complaining. They're FROM here. I am not. I'm supposed to be the whiny one. They complain about the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter. Its so weird.
They've always paid really well. This isn't surprising at all.
Tim running for VP might have been the best thing to ever happen for Minnesota's state-to-state migration. If I wasn't a southerner at heart, I might be trying to figure out how to move 😂
Our 2025 Infrastructure Plan invests in:

- Clean drinking water
- Modern infrastructure
- Public safety
- Safe and affordable housing

It’s a plan that will make Minnesota the best state to live and work.
I know. Just giving you a comparison for prices elsewhere.
What you're talking abt are politicians changing laws or bringing lawsuits in order to invalidate our work. The only way to prevent that is to run for office. Election officials are only as good as our weakest link & none of us want that to fall on us so we do our best to not be that jurisdiction.
Yeah, its my full time job. I help make elections happen. Honestly, all of us that do this for a living? It doesn't matter what our personal feelings on politics are. We just want people to vote. We don't allow cheating or fraud. We do everything in our power to do right by everyone.
Its not 2.50 but its not 5.50 either .... In middle TN I found aldi, sprouts (!!) and Publix all with a dozen eggs right at/under $4. I'm still blown away that Kroger and Target were closer to 5 and even walmart was about 4.25. Just for a comparison.
that would moved based just on ideology and they're all coalescing in one state. Similar demographic issues are happening in Texas. I actually did the Uber thing in Louisiana though :)
Probably not. I'm an election official now so at best its unethical and at worst straight up illegal :) KY is actually borderline purple with their Blue governor. TN is getting pretty bad because a lot of the people moving here are the extremists from the blue states so they're the ones
My superpower is being a middle aged, middle class, white woman living in TN who they think is one of them. I tell them every chance I get. I literally drove Uber for a year before the election in 2020 with the whole purpose of getting more people registered to vote and arguing with his supporters.
re: watching ... same. I attributed it to the election being this year and having to work so much but I don't think that's it. I think I'm just tired of it. The reason why I've never liked the NFL is precisely why college ball is tiring now.
