Disobeying illegal orders cannot be sedition. The Uniform Code of Military Justice, article 92, requires service members to follow LAWFUL orders. If an order is illegal, they have a duty to DISOBEY. Obeying an illegal order can result in criminal liability.

SNAP is a lifeline for workers in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

Remember: The richest 1% evade over $160 billion in taxes every year.

That amount would fund SNAP for a year with money to spare.

Ask yourself who the real freeloaders are.

The fact that people using SNAP cannot buy food that is "hot at the point of sale" is some ableist, classicist, bullshit. I just found this out (thanks @erinbiba.bsky.social), and as a disabled person I am livid.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!

Another myth that leads to more restrictive environments involves the comfort of the student needing support. This assumes students can't handle a challenge that they are prepared for. Check out my latest substack for more about the Comfort myth! open.substack.com/pub/kylecarl...

There are many excuses shared when more restrictive settings are suggested for students with disabilities, but many of them do not stand up to scrutiny. Check out my latest Substack to see how the "Similar Peers" myth falls apart.

The entire bottom 50% of America is collectively worth $4 trillion.

Read that back.

Walmart spent $35.3B on stock buybacks from 2019 to 2024, enough to give each of its 2.2M employees annual bonuses of $2,719.

Last year, Walmart CEO Doug McMillon pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay of just $29,469.

Textbook corporate greed.

When people say "We used to drink raw milk from our own cow and it was fine,"

That's... usually not the case!

In families w their own cow, the mom usually boiled it before using.

We just forgot bc that's a boring chore that mom did. And who pays attention to that?

Comparison can be helpful, but it can also cause us to lower our standards. Leaders need to mind their side of the fence. What do you think?

Can confirm this email is authentic — and about nothing in it is true.

Social Security income is still taxed. This bill does nothing to change that.

It’s willful disinformation on the part of SSA. It’s a lie.
Hi, I think a lot of us received e-mails from SSA saying that social security will no longer be taxed - and that somehow there is "enhanced deductions" (how much enhancement can you make to 0?) for those over 65. What part, if any, of this is true? Thank you!
