Is it just me, or is it that every time I go to the Metro Centre, we lose an inch of leg room. It always feels so cramped now.

We were at curling when the emergency alerts went off and let's just say a packed Metro Centre full of phones going off at the same time is wild! (Also, shows how some people don't get it until 10-15mins after everyone else, because you'd hear various phones beeping afterwards)

I go down a Stan Rogers wormhole once or twice a year and man, was he ever good. That voice, those lyrics. A true gem. ❤️
Stan Rogers became one of the most beloved Canadian musicians of the late-20th century.
His songs told the story of Canada, its culture, its people and its history.
Rogers was taken far too soon but his legacy endures.
This is his story.

Struck out with a reservation at Gahan and Wooden Monkey for tomorrow, frig, even Moxie's is full. Any ideas on a spot close to the Metro Centre that would accommodate a kid as well? I figure everywhere close by is just gonna be booked up.

Our tree is now up and the mood here is so light and festive now. It's been a bit of a week and I think this is just what we needed.

Is it 5pm or 9pm, it's been so dark lately that time is just a construct and doesn't matter any more.

Omfg!!! I have Tix for Saturday's games. Any leads on where I could get some NS stuff, like a ball cap or a T-shirt?
TEAM BLACK FOR THE WIN

Nova Scotia’s Team Black defeats
Team Einarson 6-3 and have advanced to the Olympic Trials Final vs Team Homan.

This is storybook stuff on what has been an emotional week with the loss of Nova Scotia curling legend Colleen Jones. My goodness.

I can't love this enough.
Colleen Jones family is here watching today.

Some of her sisters are here. Scott, her husband, and two sons Luke and Zach are here watching and cheering on Team Black. Marlee Powers is Luke’s Fiancé.

And they’ve brought one of Colleen’s jackets.

Watching the Everything Loves Raymond 30 anniversary special. We re watched a couple years ago and it's hands down a favourite of mine. Well written, funny, excellent cast chemistry.

Colleen Jones asked me to interview her a couple of months ago during a chemotherapy appointment.

She told me to write one heck of a story. I hope I did her proud.

About always believing something wonderful is about to happen.

I had the pleasure of meeting her a few times and she was always great. She was an absolute legend in curling and NS sports. So very sad.

I have 2 stories.

I sliced my finger while cutting sweet potatoes in a time saving measure. A trip to the ER and 4 stitches later, I did not in fact save any time and was veggie injury #8 at DGH ER Xmas 2014. I will be teased about that day for the rest of my life😂
yes, hello, I would like to place an order for everyone’s funniest stories of holiday food-related family grudges / drama / chaotic incidents / lore

I feel like we need this
