My favorite books I've read this year are Ed Repka's art book and Clive Barker's Books of Blood. Feels good to both finally read anything Clive Barker and own some Ed Repka art after being a fan of his for so long.

Some absolutely inspired character designs going on in Saki: The Nationals

Would you believe I actually forgot I put out a whole ass album this year?

Anyways I was weirdly busy with music this year so go listen to what I made (it's good)

My top 2 movies of the year are Reze Arc and Sinners. One is a beautifully animated ultra violent romance story and the other is a beautifully composed ultra violent musical about racism.

Sucks I missed Sinners in the theater smh.

One of my hotter takes is that The Monkey is one of the best movies of the year. I think people were down on it cause they expected another Longlegs from Perkins but I think The Monkey is very funny and more than a little inspiring.

It's not often we get truly good thrash metal but the fact we got 2 A tier albums from bands I really admire warms my battle jacket.

Been reading The Legend of Koizumi and it's honestly one of the funniest mangas I've ever read

Some alts. I really like the textures on these but I just wasn't feeling the wild saturated colors this time, i think the more muted one looked better.

In light of some recent discourse over game patches I present a reposted xkcd comic

Finished Corpse Party

Pretty solid, this is probably the best thing I consumed during the horror media fest. The cast is pretty likeable and it's genuinely very intense as a horror game. So much so I kinda struggled to finish it after a bit.

It's good tho.

To cap off the Halloween thread here's a (very rough) tier list of every horror movie I have ever seen.

The Strangers

Been a long time since I've seen it but it left an impression on me as a kid. I think it still holds up, mostly. I think what makes it work is the commitment to a slow burn + antagonists with absolutely 0 motive.

How many shitty covers are you gonna give Propeller, Robert?

Dead Space (2023)

Been picking away at my NG+ Hard save in my spare time cause it's filling that "I need RE4 straight into my veins!!!" feeling. I really like the remake. Despite one really annoying technical issues all the changes are really positive and at its core Dead Space was always a banger.

Saw X

Boy was I right to wait for this to come to streaming and not pay for it cause it is boring and contrived and lame, just like 60% of the entire Saw franchise.

Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc

It's peam. I dunno why everyone says Reze is evil she's clearly too attractive for that 🤔

Sinister 2

Man Sinister wasn't exactly a masterpiece but I thought it had some high points. This has some similar high points but it's buried under some real slap dash production.

Not even trash, really, just lame.

Alien, aka The Palette Cleanser

I go back and forth on whether this or Aliens is better. I think gun to my head, Alien is better but I like Aliens more.

I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025)

Garbage. Slop. Meaningless pap. I'm so tired of every franchise thinking they are important enough for a legacy sequel. IKWYDLS wasn't good enough for a *sequel* much less anything resembling a legacy sequel.

Dredge

A cute little horror fishing game that is both very tense and relaxing. I'll admit I sped read the story bits, I was more into this as a small scale fisherman story
