reminded of that guy who was like "back when I was in law school as the token conservative, everyone took my arguments that we should roll back the Warren Court in stride, but now that I'm an apparatchik rolling back the Warren Court, suddenly everyone's mad at me" and it's like. yeah. buddy.

Proctor & Bergman did a show, simulcast on KFML (and a Pacifica station in CA, I believe) in 1974, and I taped it off the radio. I wish I'd taped their banter with the KFML hosts in Denver before the show! My lo-fi is the only recording I have, but I think the Pacifica station has it archived.

I got to experience much of that vicariously, with a friend who regularly drove to DC for weekends of daisy-chained VHS dubbing, and he'd come back with anime and suchlike. One of my best tapes is a boot of Dudley Do-Right cartoons from a time there was no other way to see them.

I tried to order a VHS of this from our local place, and they messed around a while, then said they couldn't get it. Sorry. Then they had it on their shelves to rent. Huh? So I at least got a decent gen copy on the Rent To Own scheme (we had a second VHS so I could dub).

I was about to add that they also have Hot Shorts, which is credited to the Firesign Theatre, but a 3-man roster of it. It uses some of the same source footage, and one or two of the jokes are pretty good. No, three.

Just started the movie, and it has NIGHT FLIGHT branded up in the corner.

Longest and best, but I'll append this instead of reposting because I'm a lazy butt.
