In the beginning there was chance.

Entropy -> imperfections == imperfect knowledge -> free will

I don't have faith, I have standards: corroborated evidence.

@ssrn.bsky.social Thank you so much for clearing a healthy backlog of my artifacts. Even cleared some that weren't over time yet. Above and beyond, and I'm grateful.

It is seen and appreciated.

Thank you to @ssrn.bsky.social for clearing a backlog of artifacts. HUGE spike overnight for me up the author charts thanks to that. Wonderful surprise to wake up to this morning. From ~429k at 730pm last night to #364,772 out of 2,507,182 authors this morning.

Here's one, sir:

Chance exists → pressure → boundaries → dualities (allow/block, separate/interact) → ratchets → flow. Derives entanglement, Hawking radiation, conservation, entropy, agency. No metaphysics needed. Quantum to heat death. Look too close? '¯\_(ツ)_/¯ — Signed, Reality.' Paper ready.
Objective truths are still out there. It’s just harder than ever to know what they look like.

What’s Up With That?

Whatever the legal arguments are, a competent jurist doesn’t ignore the harm signals here.
When evidence, precedent, and lived impact all point in the same direction, failing to register that pain isn’t neutrality — it’s a breakdown of professional judgment.
The 14th Amendment doesn’t mince words — birthright citizenship is a constitutionally protected right.

We’re fighting at the Supreme Court against President Trump’s attempt to end birthright citizenship.

Situations like this are why I think most real-world game theory collapses into a two-move microgame.

Drop an agent into uncertain incentives and incomplete information. Give them only:
The transcript also tells us that the Kremlin is not particularly worried about losing power of Russia fails to capture the entirety of the Donbas, which is actually *good* news for Ukraine’s bargaining position.

I finally wrote this down.

A single-premise framework:
if chance is the first condition, then entropy, imperfect knowledge, agency, responsibility, and civic legitimacy all follow as structural consequences.

Chance as the First Principle: A Structural Chain from Cosmology to Civic Physiology v1.11
Chance as First Premise: From Cosmological Indeterminacy to Civic Physiology Abstract This paper proposes a minimal conceptual chain that begins with a single primitive assumption—chance exists—and fo...

Model solution, not just outrage:
Built an open-source “Independent Recusal & Transparency Act” to harden disclosure, recusal explanations, and public accountability across agencies.

Literally have a model legislation addressing this very issue once and for all.

For lawmakers trying to regulate AI and public safety, this bill is a ready-made foundation.
Free. Open-source. Evidence-based.
Use it, adapt it, share it.

Congress keeps trying to regulate AI, online safety, and automated systems — but without a central tech committee, critical gaps remain.

Here’s an open-source federal model that fixes one of the biggest ones: evidence integrity.

Word.
Impeach, convict, remove.

And if our current leaders won’t do it, they need to step aside for people who will.

If a state chooses to fund private or religious schools, those schools should meet the same nondiscrimination, disability-access, and transparency standards public schools already have.

Here’s an open-source model statute anyone can use, adapt, or share:

When justice answers to a single will, the fix can’t just be “better leaders.”

We need better structures: hard separation between public power and private gain, independent oversight, and sunlight on covert pressure.

I’ve been drafting open-source model tools along those lines. Thread ⬇️
"When justice answers to a single will, it becomes indistinguishable from vengeance." Trump aims to destroy a principle that is older than our country itself - the separation of law enforcement from personal political gain. @ianbassin.bsky.social explains how we got here: https://protdem.org/3LSKnv5

The Phoenix Declaration is exactly the kind of “soft law” framework that can quietly reshape public schools around a sectarian agenda.

I’ve drafted two open-source tools
-a plain-language explainer/handout
-a school-board letter template

Links + context in the thread. #ffrf #florida #publicschools
The Heritage Foundation's Phoenix Declaration uses virtuous language on the surface, but has concerning ulterior motives underneath.

"Getting messy"

Right.

I think "incompetence" is the phrase you were looking for, Doc. Maybe "continuously incompetent" is better? "Demonstrably incompetent."

But I don't have the PhD.

Thanks for the content as always.

Here’s an open-source amicus explaining why the record, the law, and the civilians lost here all matter:

This matters. Public oversight of enforcement is protected speech. We drafted an open-source amicus showing why the public has a right to know.

We just built a concrete fix from the outside.

I drafted a “Due Process Integrity in Immigration Enforcement Act” that would protect people who follow the rules from being treated like they walked into a trap.

This is exactly why I drafted the Due Process Integrity in Immigration Enforcement Act.

No one should be punished for showing up to their own interview or check-in.
Compliance can’t be treated as a trap.

@democracync.bsky.social

In NC and as a 43 y/o human with 0 prior felony record and none pending, I CANNOT:

- Buy recreational marijuana

- Recycle bottles/cans for deposit return

- Walk safely on sidewalks in the burbs

- Watch porn

But I CAN marry a child-bride of 16.

FUBAR. Big time.

Think "bigger".

Enshrine our right to force a discharge petition into the genetic code of the Republic with an amendment. States and counties can force discharge petitions if we SAY they can with an amendment.

Here's my version. Got a better idea?

Word. Reading the bible has never gotten me further away or more confident in my own moral compass. Basically, to the entire bible: we know better now.

Golden rule < platinum rule
Generational punishment is complete horse shit and an abusive narrative
Abuse as "love" is still abuse
Ty for sharing.
The amount of times i've quoted their holy book only for them to go "It doesn't say that!"
"Oh really, look, right here." (points to the passage)
"Well, you're taking it out of context!"
