It's essential to understand that things have gotten MORE difficult to sell online independently.

Sure, you can sign-up to a 'marketplace', but owning your very own online shop means dealing with things like additional digital service taxes (different for every country you sell to).
Comixology: Amazon absolutely destroyed it
GumRoad: went full into NFTs and doxxed a client when he got pissed
Steam: pulled adult titles and has a really high wall for payouts
Amazon is well, Amazon
Patreon actively hates its users
Itch keeps dropping the ball

And this isn't counting paypro stuff

Hard to think of a scandal better calibrated to blow up in the UK than "politician allegedly took large sums of cash from billionaire paedophile while conspiring with him to ensure bankers got their bonuses."
As business secretary Peter Mandelson conspired with leading US bank to end tax on bankers' bonuses. He told Epstein that JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon should “threaten” chancellor Alistair Darling over the tax. A year later, Mandy was seeking work with JPMorgan. Top journalism by @pickardje.bsky.social

Those who campaign to slash the rights of refugees, but today decry the savagery of the Iranian regime, need to have a little think.

There is no safe route to the UK for Iranian asylum seekers.
