Throughout my career as an organizer, I have watched as
younger people show up to more established organizing venues only to have their ideas dismissed & their involvement rejected by older long-timers.

The key point: "The absence of young people from conventional protests is both a problem and a warning."

The AVERAGE in Norfolk County MA is around $27k PER CHILD.

The last monthly check I wrote for two kids in full-time daycare worked out to $1075 PER WEEK.

That is almost $56k per year and includes a sibling discount.

Brookline, through a vote at Town Meeting last night, will now join Boston and communities around the nation in recognizing Transgender Day of Remembrance.
On Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember and amplify the memories of all those we have lost to anti-transgender violence.

Saying this & willing to get cancelled for it professionally: not everyone is special. Being good at math isn’t special. Especially when you attend a school where 96% of everyone is good at math compared to the rest of the state.

Know what is special? Being a good person. That is special. Do good!
I think the belief by the powerful that "people will put up with many things if you are excellent at math" is incredibly revealing in terms of understanding How We Got Here

Today the Supreme Court decided they wanted Congress to remain the most hated branch of government, instead of taking the title for themselves.
The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to take up a case challenging its landmark decision to legalize gay marriage nationwide. The challenge to the ruling came from Kim Davis, the former Kentucky clerk who refused to issue same-sex licenses after the court's 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges decision.
