The daft thing is that with Proportional Representation there'd be no need for this self-destructive war within Labour. It could split into its component parts - left and right - and people could vote for what they wanted. It's only First-Past-the-Post that forces these irreconcilables together.

France has ended up in a strange position after using some €250bn of tax-payer money to build a fleet of nuclear power stations. Wind and solar power is merrily entering the French power market at prices nuclear production can't match, resulting in huge surpluses of power.

This mining involves scraping the ocean floor for metals and minerals, creating huge plumes of sediment that smothers nearby ecosystems.

Should Gibb be sacked? yes, obviously. He's an abomination of basic journalistic standards. His GB News channel spreads conspiracy theory & disinformation. His Jewish Chronicle newspaper spreads invented stories. He is plainly trying to undermine the BBC so it's as bad as everything else he touches.

#McSweeney is a horror. Undeclared donations from the #IsraelLobby, spying on journalists, covert campaigns to destroy media that highlight his boss’s crimes, and a coordinated #Sabotage-campaign to STOP #Labour winning 2019 GE. His fingerprints are on all of it.

If Starmer thinks McSweeney going helps him, he's more hopeless than ever
McSweeney's departure only moves Starmer a big step closer to the exit door and a place in history as the most hated PM ever

Listen to @zackpolanski.bsky.social

If he can speak up on behalf of you and me and make a rational case for a #WealthTax on the obscenely rich why the f*ck can’t Labour?

Because they’re owned — locked stock and well scraped barrel — by those same elites that resent chipping in.
