This entire grift relies on convincing people that they don't know how to do the things they have always known how to do, and ironically, if it works, we will, in a very short amount of time, forget how to do all the things we have always known how to do.

Teams lay down for Manchester City. It's maddening.

They literally don't try against them and go balls to the wall against Arsenal.

Watch Unai Emery do it again, too. As he's done before.

This type of commentary is ridiculous. Hindsight is 20-20. We conceded because we couldn't clear the ball and Villa got a lucky bounce. Noni has every right to shoot.
If you rewind a bit further, the winner comes because Noni Madueke shoots from a ridiculous angle with his weaker foot.

The shot had virtually no chance. Arsenal would have been much better served to keep possession. He could also played it back across the box. Anything other than hand it to Villa.
That goal starts with Piero Hincapie, unfortunately.

He swept up incredibly well and then overran the ball out for a throw.

Depressing. If we have to go much longer without our top 3 CB choices and the other injuries (plz be okay Leo) it's going to be really difficult to hold onto 1st
Aston Villa are unbeaten in all three of their Premier League home games against sides starting the day top of the table under Unai Emery (W2 D1), with both victories coming against Arsenal (also December 2023).

We absolutely need to rest some of these players midweek too.

I'll not be entertaining hyperbole about that performance. It was what it was - a performance from an exhausted team with their 3 first choice centrebacks out and a forward line of mostly returning players against a good team that plays like it's a cup final when they face Arsenal because of Emery.

Arteta is going to have to manage his socks off to get the team to mentally come back from that, esp if we still have all these CB injuries for the next PL match
December 6, 2025 at 2:31 PM
And fuck you all saying we didn't deserve 1-1

The players look tired and slow on the ball. Without Gabriel and Saliba it feels hard to manage the hoofs every time they win possession. Hopefully Arteta can get things turned around some at halftime and subs will help add energy.

That sucked. Second half is going to be so difficult to manage

Simply amazing that the Supreme Court declared an end to legal race discrimination in the affirmative action case two years ago and now allows overt racism in both immigration arrests and redistricting.

Using race to help minorities? Bad. Using it to discriminate against them? Very, very good.

It's good—very good, and very important—that district courts keep issuing these 100-page rulings upholding the law. It must be incredibly dispiriting to see them overturned in a two-page, lawless, unsigned order, but please, keep them coming. They expose SCOTUS' corruption like nothing else.
