There were no cervical cancer cases diagnosed in women aged <25 years in 2021 – the first time that this has occurred in data going back to 1982. This remarkable achievement is almost certainly due to the impact of HPV vaccination. Across women screened at all ages, biopsy confirmed pre-cancer (HSIL) detection rates have also declined, by 21%, most likely reflecting a lower detection of disease among participants returning for their second round of HPV-based screening. Lower rates are expected, as most prevalent disease was detected and treated in the first round (age-standardised rate per 1,000 women screened was 7.5 in 2024, compared to 9.6 in 2019, the corresponding year in the first round of HPV screening) (indicator 3).

The story never ran. Coverage of Cass was taken away from the international desk, per order of top editors in NY, and given to the science desk. That desk had been a leader in promoting anti-trans disinformation throughout 2022-23. (Hundreds of the nyt own contributors had denounced its bias)

even people who aren't actively, consciously thinking about how covid impacts things now are very obviously affected by it and by the precarity in society it has exposed them to! it is insane to think that everyone can neatly wash off the psychological impact of a mass disabling/death event!

The offending companies are TG Supply LLC d/b/a TransGuy Supply, ShapeShifter Apparel, LLC, GenderBender LLC, Marli Washington Design, LLC, TomboyX, PBC, FLAVNT Streetwear, LLC, Early to Bed, Inc., TOMSCOUT, For Them, Inc., and Philadelphia 7, Inc d/b/a Passional Boutique. The final few companies issued warnings do not appear because the page only lists 10 entries.
