I develop in-conduit hydro and solar within rural communities and irrigation districts. Live in Portland, raised in Kansas. You will hear about the #energytransition, Royals, Blazers, and Chiefs.
This man owns several of the most predatory companies in America. Companies that prey on low income Americans, from an integrated monopoly manufactured home company that also deals in 30% mortgages, to Pacific Power, the utility that killed Oregonians due to neglecting maintenance for shareholders

The temporary dock has been built to launch Oregon's first floating solar installation. FCA has successfully started construction on two irrigation district floating solar projects and will be going to RFP for a canal covered project, also a first in Oregon. (3rd in the country).

His act would never make it in today's wrestling, and that's sad. The unique costumes and characters are what's missing in today's business.
Pro-wrestling legend Mick Foley announced this morning that he's parting ways with WWE over the organization's "close relationship with Donald Trump," saying the president's "incredibly cruel comments in the wake of Rob Reiner’s death is the final straw for me."

Him and Bessent are the most smug people I've ever seen.
QUINTANILLA: The president said the other day "why can't there be 25% GDP growth." What is the street supposed to do with that kind of number?

HASSETT: Heh heh heh. As an abstract thought, I don't know what the highest growth ever is, but I doubt it made it to 20%

"ICE and CBP must be abolished" is the only reasonable position. We can debate the specifics of new agencies for immigration functions, but these agencies are simply too infected with a culture of impunity, racism, and fascism to continue. They're gangs with badges.
Armed ICE agents trapped US citizens in a restaurant and demanded their papers. Federal agents walked into East African restaurants in Cedar-Riverside, MN. They closed and blocked the doors. Then they demanded to see everyone’s papers. Every person present was a US citizen.

So we're clear, I had a solar project go from $2.8 million to $4.1 million post tariffs and the transition. That's materials only too. We ate the admin increase. This is just one of twenty projects. The in-conduit hydro side is worse because there aren't many small hydro manufacturers in the states
FOX: The president is coming up on a year in office. When can Americans expect to see their energy bills drop?

CHRIS WRIGHT: Very soon you'll see a stop in the rise in electricity prices, and with the continuation of Trump policies, you'll see declines in electricity prices later this term

I'm letting go now that Zerpa may be Josh Hader
I think KC did really well, with the caveat that Milwaukee might be the no. 1 franchise that's gonna make you look like a moron for trading a RP with big stuff grades but middling results.
If you make your peace with the possibility that Zerpa turns into Josh Hader, you should be very happy.
Should I be happy about this trade?

Aaron Rupar is proof that some of the best journalists *are* stenographers. The simple act of recording and publishing the words that they themselves utter - especially when they are as risible as Noem's - is profoundly important.
MAGAZINER: How many veterans have you deported?

NOEM: We haven't deported veterans

MAGAZINER: We are now joined on Zoom by a combat veteran you deported to Korea

Geothermal for direct heat is the single biggest exception to electrify everything.

Energy use is about 50% heat, 30% transportation, and 20% electricity.

The less heat you have to put on a winter peaking electric grid, the better.
Geothermal energy for heat (for greenhouses, district heating, industrial processes) is going to grow in the EU a lot in the next few years (Munich, for example, is drilling like crazy at the moment). Geothermal electricity generation is still much more of an open question. Good reporting here.
NEW from me: i talked to the founders of a geothermal startup that is working on a simple (but surprisingly difficult) solution to find more geothermal energy: seek out systems deep underground that we can use for power. it's harder than you think!

I have been saying for years that the low income weatherization space is primarily for anchoring gas appliances. We're still installing new gas furnaces in low income homes.
Utility regulators could mitigate this equity problem by a) providing financial support for disadvantaged communities to electrify early, and b) targeting electrification efforts at whole neighborhoods, so the gas system can be pruned back and decommissioned as its customer base dwindles.

The whole low income weatherization sector is just gas companies anchoring in gas furnaces.
