I have a job already so posting here is more of a part-time hobby at best.
If this Government is not trying to take over your professional organisation as a naked power grab to prevent dissent then you are obviously not trying hard enough.

Looking at us, Social Workers 👀

Today, I'm going to genuinely smile at a stranger - could be at the supermarket; maybe the gas station; may be while walking down the street. Might even say "Hi, how are you?".

No one can stop me.

Relax, it’s only poor brown people in prison who’ll lose their vote. Rich white criminals usually get a fine or home detention, so they’ll still be voting.

Happy Days.

Day 16 of stopping smoking because David Seymour said 'smokers are heroes because they pay lots of excise tax and don't need a pension' (cause they're dead).

Love never made be stop smoking but spite and pettiness did.

Thanks, David, I owe you one.

If DS calls you a hero then you're doing something wrong.

Getting rid of the current coalition takes precedence over the circular firing squad pre-election; however, post-election the gloves (have to) come off.

If you've looked at the history of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and how it failed to protect Māori rights, would you then be comfortable having your rights protected by this same document?

Would you like to be treated the way Māori have historically been treated in this country?

Tēnā koe, Prime Minister Luxon,
I am reaching out to express my profound concern over the decision to exclude Newsroom journalist Aaron Smale from the official apology to survivors and victims of abuse in state care. I am writing to implore you to reverse this decision.

I could spend $500 today to address an issue, or, I could spend $100 but it will cost me a further $1000 later on. However, by the time the bill comes due someone else will have to deal with it. Then, I can yell at them for spending the $1000.

I won't say that I was an alcoholic, however, I definitely had a problematic relationship with Alcohol - did it ever make me feel better or cure my depression? It did, provided I stayed drunk. The problem being that I could only stay drunk for 2-3 days at a time.

Surely the NZ Labour Party can win the next election if they just present watered down versions of existing National Party policies as their campaign manifesto, or just 'cautiously agree' to changes to show they are a 'serious' party. I'm sure nothing will go wrong because of it.

"Essentially, a long list of people in positions of power covered up this systemic and large-scale abuse over decades, often with full knowledge of the allegations and their credibility."

Social Work, and Social Workers, were complicit in this and the profession has much to answer for.
