I have been thinking of a business tax structure that has much higher rates for any company who employs people that have to be on governmental food and insurance to live and/or if the Executives make more than 50x the lowest paid worker.

I live in rural NSW. Bank branches are closing rapidly across the region. The shining light is Regional Australia Bank who are actively opening new branches in small towns to allow actual banking services for locals. It’s a small step in the right direction.

How dare we want housing be a right not an opportunity to profit.

The NACC was promised to be transparent and 'with teeth'. We got a gummy bear.

The other bits are twiddling at the edges. The mere appearance of real action. Underwhelming.

Broken promises from 2022:
– Science-based climate action
– Improved transparency and accountability
– No One Left Behind™

If only we had more people like Pocock in government. The country would be in a far better state .

These are not excuses; they are the conditions that make violence conceivable.
We are a rich nation so why not introduce a Universal Basic Income.

Food and housing security will go a long way to address these issues.
