The Ballad of Songbirds And Snakes movie is actually a pretty great adaptation of the book. It doesn’t quite manage to translate the absolutely scathing depiction of a narcissist, but honestly it’s so skilfully and subtly done in the book I am not quite sure how they could have achieved it.

I worry about mine sometimes but then I remember they don’t JUST talk through their roots, they also talk through VOCs (volatile organic compounds) they emit
