I can totally imagine a scenario where, if the Greens got the largest proportion of left votes (wishful thinking I know), that the Nats and Labour would team up to keep them out. NZ Labour is not an ally of the working class.

I’ve written emails to Dr Ayesha Verrall, Chris Hipkins and Shanan Halbert and received assurances that they don’t agree with it. No answer yet to my follow-up question, “Will you make a public promise to repeal it if elected?”

Our regular reminder that Labour's leadership is primarily neoliberal managerialists these days, and has a very poor imagination when it comes to thinking about how legislation could be abused by the worst of people.

Sounds like the only response Hipkins can muster is to mumble indistinctly out of both sides of his mouth:
' "If what they come up with is sensible, I certainly want to leave open the option of working with them to make it a success," he said.'

'Serious shake-up' of local government imminent
The coalition is set to announce major changes that could spell the end of regional councils, RNZ understands.

Don't be surprised if Labour goes with NZF, I said they had a long standing grudge against TPM/Māori Party and even they pretty much implied they'd pick everyone *before* The Māori Party.

This has been their preference for the last 20 years and still is from 2006-2025 as shown by the photos #nzpol

Every single time
Even Nats are brighter than the lot of them who are nothing but apologists

And expecting Hipkins to pick Winston next year to sideline the Greens without fail

People who are shocked by this are the same people who seem surprised when Labour (consistently) choose Peter Dunne or Winston Peters or literally anyone else to align with in government than the Greens.

Yep
Central Labour being royal screw ups again
A particular apologist in here owes an apology for their white anting over the weekend regarding Renny vs Genter

But I know they won't as they are too hidebound
