CENE — Crescent’s Bedroom (day) CRESCENT is seen laying on her bed. Her hand clenches the sheets, tightly, pulling the blanket into sharp lines to match those on her restless expression. She tosses left. She tosses right. Restless. CRESCENT murmurs something unintelligible in her sleep as she looks to be sweating. Nearby is the somewhat hidden shadow/silhouette of an eye somewhere against one of the walls of the room opens, looming over the sleeping owl. SCENE — The Lab (night) CRESCENT rips back the lab curtain, hasty and fearful. CRESCENT rips back the lab curtain, hasty and fearful. Yet, the window behind is clear, showing a bright Aderen night sky. She sighs in relief. No reason for alarm. *CREAK* A sound from behind has CRESCENT suddenly turn on her heel, cautious. Nothing again.The lab is still. Empty. A dark hand grabs CRESCENT’S throat from behind in the instant she was turned away from the window. CRESCENT is yanked back, her head slamming into the writing table immediately behind her. SILAN: (Off-screen) You’ve become complacent… Dulled. VOID towers over CRESCENT’S collapsed form on the floor, sitting crouched on the desk in front of the windowsill. His shadow looms over her. With wide eyes, CRESCENT jumps to her feet. Ready to fight. Yet VOID is gone. No longer in the spot he was before. CRESCENT looks towards the noise. VOID’S gloved fist hits her right in the jaw, sending her stumbling. SCENE — Glassare Woods (night) CRESCENT catches herself against a pine tree. She nurses her face, visibly pained and confused. A bruise starts to form where she was struck. SILAN: (off-screen) You’re not at all what I need CRESCENT: (brows furrowed) And if I don’t care to be what you need? CRESCENT grunts in sudden pain, glancing down at a now bloodied palm. She’s dressed in her Glassaran outfit, which is stained from wounds not previously there. CRESCENT stands in the middle of a forest filled with Siberian Pines, the moon shining down on her. The snow underfoot crunches as she takes a step, blood dripping to the snow. [ note for the artist: The wounds mentioned are the same ones from the last art piece you did for me of younger Cres. ] SILAN: (off-screen) Then I can make you into what I need *SNAP.* A twig breaks CRESCENT looks over her shoulder to the source. MORANA walks towards her, arms open, ready to receive her lost, snowy owl. Her manner is motherly yet looming. MORANA: (pleading) There you are, my little owlet.
