I just received a rejection email from a job application - in the civil service - that is so rude and disrespectful, and this at 7pm on a Saturday night, that I’m pondering replying that I am deeply apologetic they do not have the opportunity to avail themselves of work/life balance, but damn.

Students at the start of my intensive class: Human Rights are universal and everyone has them! <3

Students at the end of my intensive class: The world is a hellhole and human rights exist only for the few and we must do something radically different before it's too late

So, that's my job done.

My incredible half-sister returns from Syria with an expose on conflict related sexual violence against Alawite women in Syria, at a rate and horror that is, TW, difficult. In the collapse of the Assad regime, chaos ensued and they are forgotten. Those who spoke did at extreme risk.

ICYMI, the proscription of Palestine Action is currently under judicial review in the UK. Yesterday, the gov pulled one of the judges. This is not common practice at all, especially as activists are current detained under terrorism charges. novaramedia.com/2025/11/25/a...

Well well well well well well. Almost as if… this was lawfare against political opponents
🚨BREAKING: A federal judge Monday dismissed the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) cases against FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James, finding that the prosecutor President Donald Trump handpicked to bring charges against them had been unlawfully serving since September.

Dear @k-interarma.bsky.social thank you so much for this wonderful summary! Giggling a little bit to hear myself described as a benevolent overlord! It’s a team effort! I’m looking forward to seeing friends and colleagues in The Hague! #CAHTreatyNow

My primary school teacher for year 4 + 5 would dedicate one afternoon a week to writing letters to political prisoners via an @amnesty.org call. I’m old, so at the time we were writing to South African prisoners. On my 10th lawyerversary, an Amnesty archivist sent me the poster for that campaign

The Guardian’s favourite opinion columnist writes with the same contempt and disdain for minorities than she would otherwise accept for any other fraction of the population. And that means only one thing: if you don’t stand for everyone, you don’t stand for anyone. Thanks for letting us know Hadley.
This little transphobic rant by Hadley Freeman in the Sunday Times really shows how pathetic gender critical ideology is. They play victimhood every day from the national media, while childishly insulting the existence of trans and non-binary individuals, calling any criticism of that 'silencing'.

Three different articles on the BelTel alone today, showcasing appropriate anger at PEACEPlus (the EU programme) and Co-operation Ireland for financing proscribed organisations, specifically the South East Antrim UDA, that was behind the Ballymena race riots in June.

It snowed overnight, and I hadn’t seen snow in so long. I remember always feeling such a warm, child-like feeling at the first snow of the year. Due to global warming, I didn’t think I’d see much again. What a lovely surprise.

My friend and I heard two faint “thank you” as crowds of fascist groups tried to start attacking “antifas”. We of course challenged them directly and I walked towards the two young girls to check if they were ok. Both were in high school and wanted to attend the protest.

As Maya Goodfellow shows in "Hostile Environment", this is a recurring theme in the political discourse on immigration. Racism is framed as a regrettable but natural response to a number of migrants arbitrarily deemed to be excessive, rather than a socially constructed and contestible subjectivity.
Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood made more explicit her argument that when ethnic minorities face racism, "we have no choice but to ask: what is the cause of our division"

Her answer is the level of net migration, 2019-23 causes racism. (She on Monday said it was caused by the scale of asylum)

Unfortunately our role and job is hardly ever good news, and we @propertyofthepeople.org now have documents proving the FBI has managed to spy on “court watch” anti-ICE groups on Signal. It seems to come from within the members, not a break in encryption. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

I wrote something reflecting on today.
Today is Trans Day of Remembrance.

Today we remember and grieve all those we have lost. But we also commit – collectively – to fighting for those of us who are left. There will be hope as long as we continue to stand together.

Having helped with organising the list of names to be read for a TDOR event, I was struck as I am every year by how many trans women there were, particularly trans women of colour.

It's not my place to speak to this really except that I am very sad to have lost so many sisters around the world.

“Harmless” “error” “analysis”

At least four psychics didn’t tell the DOJ they were going to fail a basic procedural test
The law on the Halligan failure to present the actual indictment to the GJ may let the DOJ wriggle out. But her misstatements to the grand jury on fundamental constitutional matters are going to be big trouble I think. DOJ just says it’s harmless error analysis. But hard to see harmlessness here.

????? Does anyone know if there is any precedent for violating the GJC?? Are we allowing chatGPT in court now??
HUGE development IN hearing for Comey selective prosecution motion, It turns out that the grand jury NEVER saw the operative indictment. Whole separate basis for dismissal. Standby for more.
