That justplainbob from over there. Retired Minnesotan who abides in Stately Moffitt Manor with Mrs. Lungs.
My proudest moment was when Dennis Christopher called me "the Lost Cutter" on social media.

The star of the film, Steve McQueen (not the British director, the other guy) is from Beech Grove, IN. I grew up not far from there, and had family there, and I didn't know until recently the coolest guy in the movies was from that sleepy SE Indy burb.

I just checked our bird in the fridge and it is still hard as a rock.

He worked almost exclusively in comedy, but I will always remember Dom's tiny but important role in one of the least-funny movies ever made: the 1964 Cold War thriller, Fail Safe.

Had movie villain Waldo Lydecker lived in modern times, he would have had a zillion followers on social media. #Laura #Noir

I remember him in the Sons of Katie Elder, not a great Western, but memorable for the scene where John Wayne whacks George Kennedy with an axe handle.

Some things are best left unseen.

I gotta ask, was the 1939 MGM "Peace on Earth" one of them? Because that one blew my mind.

She was a woman of many looks, and much mystery.

I like the original "seditious behavior, punishable by death!" better.

I have been irrationally hanging on to our Cities Sampler Vol. 4 cassette, even though we haven't had a device that could play it for years.

Mrs. Lungs put it in the sell/donate/recycle pile.

She's right, as usual, but RIP, just the same.

The 4pm newscast on @kstptv.bsky.social featured a rescue dog named Ham, and Mrs. Lungs fell in love.

He's at The Bond Between, BTW.

We're invested in the American Revolution (in more ways than one), so we will keep the teevee tuned to PBS tonight. I think we get to Yorktown on Friday.

Mrs. Lungs was watching the Dick Van Dyke Show when I got back. The classic walnut episode!

You're in my inner ring, Jess. You'll also notice some of the usual suspects.

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

Streetlights was Bonnie Raitt's 4th album, and the first time she recorded John Prine's "Angel From Montgomery."

Not a bad circle.

After the Vikings loss, Mrs. Lungs switched channels to "The Man Who Came To Dinner," where Ann Sheridan wears this eye-catching outfit. It was also (um, err) somewhat form-fitting.

Due to a defective library DVD, we watched the Tom Hanks/Julia Roberts romcom Larry Crowne instead.

George Takei almost steals the show in an uncredited role.

PS: Don Rickles really was in the Navy during WW2.

Thank you for your service, King of Insult Comedy.

Tonight's movie: Run Silent, Run Deep, a movie made the year Mrs. Lungs and I were born. Yep, that's Don Rickles on the lower right corner. #YouHockeyPuck
