Joan of Arc: for sure top 5 for me on Rebel Heart. While I’m not entirely buying the message of the song after a decades long career of putting up with the shit people say about her, NOW it suddenly stings!? Bitch, you’re Madonna—two tracks prior even, a totally different attitude.

Hold Tight: I like this song quite a bit though it was not one I immediately liked when she released the album. I kind of stumbled into it years ago and didn’t realize it was even on this album. I’d keep this one on a shorter version of Rebel Heart.

Hamnet was an incredibly moving experience; I only cried 8-9 times. It’s why we need books, plays, films, poetry, music, and art, and we need to encourage time with those things in schools.

Bitch I’m Madonna: sigh. Ok this is going to be a little long. Far be it from me to tell any woman how to age, but for me—for me—this song is the equivalent to me arriving at any gay venue as a almost 50 year old: who ARE these people? It’s so loud in here! Why is it so dark? …

Illuminati: yeah I don’t care about this song. Skip for me.

Didn’t really think this through. They look like tits.

Unapologetic Bitch: I don’t hate this song but it’s not one I seek out on this album, very few actually are to be honest. I remember listening to the first three tracks when the album came out, loving them, and then this 4th one and just felt a quiet “huh…where are we going with this”.
November 27, 2025 at 11:22 AM
Ghosttown: I also love this song so much and one my favorite videos. Such a strong first three tracks! Rebel Heart, you tease!
November 26, 2025 at 11:51 AM
Devil Prey: I think this is top two for me on Rebel Heart, one of Madonna’s best songs. I would have loved to see what some remixes might have been like. So far on this album, off to a fantastic start!

The husband is out of town for the next few weeks so I’ve got all my murder shows lined up that he doesn’t really enjoy: All Her Fault, The Beast in Me, Welcome to Derry, Stranger Things…any other recs?
November 25, 2025 at 11:36 AM
Living for Love: the opening track for Rebel Heart is, for me, misleading…it hints at some fun but then of course what we get is a lot of filler with middling results after 3 amazing tracks. The album starts on such a high and then for me it’s nearly all downhill—tho not without peaks and valleys

When they are together and trying to look innocent, it usually means the old one is trying to get the little one to do something nefarious.

Best Friend: this is alright. The MDNA deluxe is about 6 song too long for me which I guess just makes a
regular MDNA length but mine would be with slightly different tracks. Anyway on to another too long deluxe :
November 23, 2025 at 2:57 AM
B Day Song: ok it isn’t the coolest track on MDNA? No. It’s stupid. But it’s simple, repetitive and catchy. Not usually a skip for me but also not a track I routinely seek out. Typical reaction is “oh yeah. It’s this song.”
November 22, 2025 at 12:42 AM
I Fucked Up: …by including the first half of this song on MDNA. At the 1:56 mark, the song just becomes exponentially better. Make the whole song like that.

Merry Little Ex-Mas was cute
November 20, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Beautiful Killer: it’s fine. Not my favorite track on MDNA but not the worst. Sounds like several songs she’s done before. Looking forward to moving on here shortly as I don’t think this album finishes that strong.
November 19, 2025 at 10:59 PM
Falling Free: I think this is just boring. While I do wish MDNA had more ballads as that is something Madonna can do well, this just isn’t it.

Sooooo is there, uh, other people here who collect Featherly Friends from Target? Picked up this dapper trio (Tally Ho, Stirrup and Vestie) and the diva behind them (Soirée) from the 2025 collection (I now have 20 birds). I only do the Xmas birds but I do have a 4th of July one that was a gift.
November 16, 2025 at 1:25 PM
Masterpiece: a meh mid tempo ballad that is only interesting because it was part of a stupid catty Golden Globes moment between Madonna and Elton John.

Arrived at 10:15 for a 10:30 service appointment with my car (it’s new). Didn’t even get to me until 11. It’s almost 2. I can’t read more of ATof2C or I’ll be too far ahead of my students. But also reading Dickens while everyone else in the lounge is on their phones (maybe reading)…

There are some trying to lure me into the sewer on the corner of my block and one day, yes, I’ll probably try to follow because they are so adorable. Or it’s Pennywise trying to get me knowing I’m an easy target for cute lil beasties
