Every time you serve as a hype man for Marjorie Taylor Greene, you are telling your base that they don't matter. That you don't care about who hurts them or disrespects them. The good parts of science fiction deserve so much better than what they are given, and the bad parts of the genre deserve to be blasted out the airlock, never to return.

And too many old white male "fans" & writers are in the latter group.

The future of the genre is everyone, not just and not only straight white men. Shunning the old racists and inviting new young writers who aren't SWM will attract new fans to your con, and last I heard that's something sf conventions were interested in.

White male fans: STEP THE FUCK UP.

I think science fiction needs a resection/excision. The old white male "fans" are a tumor on the genre. A very malignant tumor.

What do we do with tumors? Cut them out.

Conventions, stop inviting these racist, sexist, hateful people to be on panels. You know who these people are, or can find out.
