People forget that there are other personality factors that shape liking someone besides political alignment.

High-tech futurists like Zoltan Istvan also support universal guarantees, arguing that advanced technology, AI, and automation can provide the material base for security, dignity, and human flourishing. Abundance Socialism integrates this optimism with justice.

The book "Abundance" influenced Zohran Mamdani, who has spoken about reading it shaped his approach to Democratic Socialism in NYC. He sees socialism and abundance not as opposites, but as complementary forces for building a better society.

“Socialism” here means universal guarantees—healthcare, housing, education, basic income —but also workers’ power and democratic institutions where the state serves the whole population rather than just the wealthy.

In the Book “Abundance” by Ezra Klein, argues we can solve big social problems by using the market to expanding capacity—more housing, more energy, more infrastructure, more possibility, rather than rationing scarcity.

It's a liberal economic vision, but can pair with more progressive projects.

“Abundance” means that markets, science, and human creativity expand the field of possibility. But abundance only becomes real when people have fair access to its benefits and a voice in how innovation shapes their lives.

A dynamic private sector brings creativity, investment, and economic growth. Together they create real independence.

The 20th Century was defined by the war between Capitalism and Communism. In reality, the true victor of the Cold War was neither Capitalism or Communism, but the mixed economy.

For former colonies, the right synergy between public and private sectors is liberatory. A strong public sector repairs historical colonial and imperialist damage and secures dignity through universal guarantees and labor rights.

It's “postcolonial” because it centers genuine multiracial democracy in America, rejects imperialism, and calls for major investment in African and Global South development. Abundance must include the entire world, not just wealtht individuals & wealthy nations.

I coined the term "Postcolonial Abundance Socialism" to describe a set of realpolitiks where market innovation, universal guarantees, & democracy can work together to build a future shaped by abundance, deep cultural repair, and shared global power.

Tried it: It smells like apple pie but tastes like regular Mac n Cheese.

I'm reminded of the James Baldwin quote:

"I love America more than any other country in the world and, exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually"

Some peoples love of country is based in nostalgia for the past. Mine is faith in the future.

The level of research and mental health resources for treating CSA and sexual trauma would be much more advanced.

But, he dismissed tons evidence as womens hysteria. That's r*pe culture & patriarchy for you.

Fucking vile.

Especially relevant right now as Epstein files are about to drop.

Extensive historical & medical documentation of pervasive child sexual abuse was just swept under the rug, and this social disease continues on uncontested til this day.

If he faced it head on, a reckoning could've happened sooner.

Yes, definitely. The level of unnuanced strong & wrong AI takes on this platform is so boring.
