Liked it as a kid, and honestly was surprised how much more I loved it as an adult. In a decade filled with cinematic wonder, the Stained Glass Knight and the Rame Tep chant remain top tier.
To an entire generation, this Steven Spielberg produced Victorian era adventure may feel like a fever dream. But it’s real and it deserves some love! Written by GREMLINS screenwriter Chris Columbus, we’re celebrating 40 years of YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES.

I find “Testament” more haunting than “The Day After” thanks to how it quietly shows normal life and the family slowly, inexorably disintegrating—especially the consequences for the children and how they understand what’s happening even if they can’t fully articulate it. It’s horrifyingly relatable.

Truly one of the most quietly devastating movies I’ve ever seen. It’s intimate and brutal in its realistic depiction of day to day life following a nuclear war.
Today in 1984—just over a year after it first opened in movie theaters—“Testament” was broadcast for the first time on PBS as part of the American Playhouse series. The intimate film memorably dramatizes the devastating effects of a nuclear war on a single family in a small Northern California town.

If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

I have said before and will say again that it is such a loss that we no longer get covers of this caliber for fantasy books.

This art is by Jean-Léon Huens. These covers are for the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander. They lit my imagination on fire as a kid.

This was 4 years ago yesterday.

It was an all-day shoot in an old paper plant as Superman fought Bizarro and it was COLD.

I’d been professional the entire shoot, but today was the day I finally asked Tyler for a picture. My director, Diana Valentine, got one earlier that day, which provoked me

Relatedly, if you are ever in a test screening for a film/tv show and something confused you, no it didn't.
All these TikToks going after screenwriters for shitty dialogue without any awareness that the on-the-nose dialogue is a directive of studios *because* of viewers on TikTok during their shows.
