Daisy is in desperate need of a new home. She was very shut down when adopted from Barcs, but while this sweet girl has settled into her new home, she remains fearful of the son in the home. Her family has tried for months including working with trainers to help her accept him. She remains scared and uncomfortable if he is near. They are heartbroken, but realize they need to find her a home where she can relax. We desperately want to keep her out of the shelter. Please consider meeting this gentle girl and 🌼 please share for Daisy 🌼 —— Meet Daisy! Daisy is a sweet, loving and snuggly girl who will make a wonderful addition to the right household. She was previously adopted by a Baltimore family with a 15-year old son. Daisy integrated well and became very attached to all family members EXCEPT for the son, with whom Daisy was very fearful despite his many efforts to earn her trust. Trainers, medication and many, many treats did not help the situation, and the family sadly decided it was not sustainable. Daisy is very loyal to her people but can also be sociable. For example, she behaved perfectly during a large neighborhood gathering at her family’s home, and she tolerates diverse adults and teens coming in and out of the home. She has bonded very strongly with both parents and with the family’s young adult daughter. Dear friends, please share for Daisy. Daisy would probably do best in a family of one or two adults where she will thrive and melt hearts. She is crate-trained but also does well left alone in the house uncrated. She is calm and quiet around the house, and while she likes leash walks, she overall prefers to be inside on the sofa, so she does not require as much exercise as many dogs of her size and breed. This girl deserves a second chance and will be a slam dunk in the right home, where she will delight you with her adoring gaze, quiet demeanor, lazy attitude, and beautiful face. Sparky & Lucky Need Rescue 12 & 9 Years, 12 & 9lbs Meet Sparky and Lucky, an irresistibly sweet bonded pair of Bichon and Maltese mixes looking for a second chance. These affectionate pups were surrendered to us following the passing of their beloved owner. Gentle and loving, they’ve shown a warm and friendly nature, including a positive history with children of all ages. Both dogs are potty pad trained and do well with grooming and vet visits. However, car rides aren’t their favorite experience. Since coming into our care, Sparky and Lucky have received thorough veterinary evaluations. Sparky was found to have a grade 4/6 heart murmur and elevated proBNP levels, which will require further cardiac assessment. He also suffers from severe dental disease and is likely to need a full mouth extraction. Lucky’s intake exam revealed moderate to severe dental issues requiring a cleaning, and his bloodwork showed elevated liver values that will need monitoring and possibly further diagnostics. We are seeking a rescue that can provide the medical care and support Sparky and Lucky deserve. If your organization is able to help this precious duo, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
