Neill Blomkamp’s Alien 5, which treated Alien 3 and Resurrection as cryosleep dreams and brought Ripley, Hicks and Newt back on a new adventure.

Nick Drake had such a short life - horrifying stage fright, unrequited love, neurodivergence when there wasn't a word for it yet. Three classic albums, posthumously recognized. And "Black Eyed Dog" (recorded as he came undone) is one of the rawest interpretations of a severe depressive spell.

I don't care what anyone says — 70% of comedy is craft, and 30% is POV/believability/charm. A.l. is maximized to be everything to everyone and that's the *exact opposite* of what makes a joke truly funny.

Threeway date night/Diggstown reunion! Or “Ellen’s Angels” — trademark owned by Lakna.

(Ellen Vanstone was on our minds tonight. What a legacy to have nurtured so many writers. I know she’s somewhere cool making fun of us.)

Capitalists have wanted to colonize our minds since forever — to squash our imaginations because the ability to imagine a better world is what keeps us free. Artificial intelligence sets limits on what we can dream and — ultimately — what we can be.

The coolest thing about the Immortalverse vampires is that they all have these incredible manicures after they get turned. Between that and the blue contacts, I’m pretty sure I made out with one of the undead at Woody’s in 2004.

I’m absolutely an autumn, but cosplayed as a summer this year and I gotta say — Toronto is truly a top-tier city from May to October.

If you’re my real friend, you’ll buy me this Young Richard Dreyfus in Jaws action figure. The perfect man —a dreamboat, my husband. I was born in the wrong time.

I’ve been endlessly talking about James Gunn’s Superman on socials because I did a recent rewatch and sincerely think it’s one of my favourite films of the year. Here’s one of its best moments — a perfect encapsulation of character and message.

An American film about a very specific moment in millennial Toronto, but directed by a Brit and starring a bunch of Hollywood stars on the cusp of fame. I guess this is what Sidney Prescott felt like watching the Stab films.

This is basically an Alien: Earth fan account now, but I have such admiration for Hawley playing with iconic imagery through the lens of absurd comedy. It's part of the reason a subsection of Alien fans are pissed at the series, but screw 'em - inflexible repetition is killing franchises.

Horny for the Xenomorph on Alien: Earth, so there’s that.

With the passing of Robert Redford, let's all take a moment to reflect on one of the hottest pairings in cinematic history: Redford and Paul Newman in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969).
