Covid exposed the fragility of a society where rights/freedoms/liberties are considered sacrosanct without a national principle of service/obligation existing to balance it out. Breeds narcissism and selfishness and when you add a two party system and the death of information/truth you have bad news
Covid is gonna shape American politics for years and years because it was the first time most Americans were asked to make sacrifices and they lost their minds because of it.
That's kinda the vibe of so many folks I grew up near (South Texas) of the older generations.
They legitimately were changed by the COVID chaos. They went from being like, generous Christians to being locked inside their giant homes screeching about Fauci.
