Alex Pretti should be alive. We mourn him. He spent his life giving to people whether as an ICU nurse for our veterans or for the woman who fell while ICE agents descended on her and him. Don’t let believe the propaganda from the federal government.

Read the Statement from Alex Pretti’s parents.

Terrorizing our kids is not going to make our communities safer. ICE needs to end this surge in Minnesota – and I refuse to vote to send more funding to DHS and ICE when they continue to trample on the rights of Minnesotans and make our communities less safe.

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

Not an exaggeration at all to say that the feeling in Minneapolis is that the entire metro area is being treated as occupied territory by federal agents. Impossible to overstate how overwhelmingly people here do not like it. This does not feel sustainable.

Been decades since I pulled a tab but in the early ‘80s while a KARE11 investigative intern, I figured how how they could rigged, thanks to collecting baseball cards. Pulltabs, like baseball cards, are (or were) mechanically cut from sheets then boxed. I guessed that pattern repeated in-box. 1/

Tomato results:
"Sweet 100" cherries great as usual
"Mr Stripey" I got a few good ones, good flavor
I forget what the yellow ones were called but they tasted great and produced a lot of fruit!
Early Girl: lots of fruit but not as exciting flavor (at least for snacking).
